Weeknotes #4

This week went by really quickly so I honestly don't remember much... Let's see how this goes.

Life

What even happened this week?? I can't really remember the weekdays at all. My mom hurt her back while at work and that was a whole thing, but thankfully she's better now.

The weekend I can recall better, it's today and yesterday after all. I started the process of cleaning my room, using my dad's bedroom to give me space to organize while he's out of town. Cleaning is really stressful for me because I have some borderline hoarder tendencies and having to confront that is emotionally draining. My mother is the same way, and when she sees me cleaning she tries to get me to keep stuff. The task just feels endless. I've made some progress, but if I can make an actual dent in it before my dad comes home that would be a miracle.

School

I'm finally starting the feel the pressures of school this semester build up! But one of my assignments was an excuse to go to Round1 so I did that on Saturday. Played Chrono Circle for the first time but I couldn't find any songs I knew. Apparently when it went offline they had to get rid of a lot of the licensed songs. Then I played my ol' reliable Wacca and my usual Touhou songs.

There were some plushies I wanted to try for in the crane games, but I'm in the middle of cleaning! I held back! A small victory!

As to why school gave me an excuse to go to Round1, a lot of social science classes especially anthropology will have an assignment where you go to a place and observe things and take notes. I've done this same type of assignment like three times by now. Oh and I still need to do my write-up. (Edit: me doing my writeup and having to write "Help me, ERINNNNNN!!" its going great 👍)

Website

As you may have noticed the floating little demon in the corner, I added icons to my blog! This was inspired by a blog post from Shishka titled "Web Memory: I’ve Got All These Icons On My Hard Drive But None On My LiveJournal". Since I got the idea from them, I decided to use one of their icons for this blog.

Now that a lot of the backend work on my site is at the "good enough" stage, I can start focusing on adding actual content and other fun stuff, like webrings! So far I've joined one for Touhou fans.

I also added a Uses page.

Reading/Watching/Gaming

I really wanted to finish Umineko this week but time got away from me. I imagine I'm close to the end by now but who knows. Maybe I'll even manage to finish it after I post this.

In anime land, Lily and I are continuing our watch of the Apothecary Diaries second season. And this week we finally got crossdressing Jinshi! I've been waiting for this! He looks great!

And for our second anime we started watching Lycoris Recoil. We're up to episode 3 so far. It's fun so far! Girls with guns who are not immune to propaganda getting up to yuriful shenanigans.

My favorite webcomic, Paranatural had an update I'm really happy with. Isaac is my favorite and I'm always happy to see him, especially with some gay coding. It feels like such a natural part of his character it makes me wonder how long Zack has planned for it.
