Short again but still doing it because I want to talk about manga.

Life

Last week I mentioned that my throat was itchy and apparently it wasn't just randomly itchy for no reason, it turns out I was sick!!! I was sick basically the whole week. It was just a cold but it fucking lingered. It's mostly gone now but I can still feel some gunk in my lungs.

School

I missed classes because I was sick!

Reading/Watching/Gaming

Been doing some catch-up on my manga backlog and finished Call of the Night and How Do We Relationship?. Really loved both series lots!

For How Do We Relationship? I really appreciate the exploration of how and why a relationship might not work out without either party needing to be the "bad guy". It's very honest and relatable so it annoys me when I see people describe it as "toxic yuri" because it's literally just young lesbians learn to navigate dating and yeah sometimes making mistakes and hurting each other. It's good!

Call of the Night was something I started reading just because I was looking for something else to follow on the Viz manga app, didn't really seem like my thing, but once I got to a certain point I decided I actually think this manga is genius. Having romantic love be treated as something that can be objectively determined is a great setup that can ask a lot of interesting questions. I don't think what's interesting about the initial premise necessarily gets carried all the way to the end, but I think Call of the Night is still a great manga that made me feel #represented in a lot of ways I didn't expect. Shout out to Anko Uguisu the suicidal aromantic lesbian pervert freak of all time.
