Probably short this week I don't remember shit and my throat is itchy.

Life

This week I started doing the full Spavato dose. On Monday, I forgot my headphone so I didn't have any music and I was worried I'd get bored but nope. It kicked in fast and strong. I felt like I was on some sort of slow-moving roller coaster or dark ride, and then for whatever reason I thought "this is kinda like the Amazing Digital Circus" so of course some guy from the Amazing Digital Circus showed up. He was teeth or something. I've never seen the Amazing Digital Circus. Subahibi was also part of this in some way, specifically the part where Yuki and Zakuro go on that weird amusement park ride where it's supposed to be like they're the last people on earth.

I bring my fidget toy bag with me and I picked out two mini stuffed animals and imagined they were magnetically attracted to each other so I was sticking them together and pulling them apart like they were magnets. This was the first session where I was really like seeing and feeling things so strongly. Weird but fun and interesting.

For my Friday session I remembered my headphones and had music and I felt more lucid overall throughout experience. Idk if either or is "better" for the intended therapeutic effects; tripping and not being able to control where your mind goes, or being somewhat lucid and able to direct your thoughts. I'm not sure I can control which experience I get, anyways. My Monday session I didn't have music, and its later in the day so I'm tired from school and the sun is starting to set. Friday its the first thing I do that day so I'm pretty awake.

School

School is hard for me and stresses me out. What's new! Didn't do too well on my midterms, and one professor offered us a change to redo the question we scored lowest on, but I forgot about it. He didn't give us a due date for that but it's been like two weeks now so idk if I can still turn it in even if I do remember to do it.

I finally made an appointment with my advisor. Hopefully I can figure out what I need to do graduate and finally be done with school next winter. Get me out of here.

Reading/Watching/Gaming

I haven't put any books here yet, and like I am reading but it's all required readings for school. So during my free time I haven't really felt like reading more. Well that changes this week because I picked up Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint (orv) again. I'm at chapter 376. My ereader estimates I have like 20 hours to go. It's a good book but god the fan translation is awful. I know translating a book with over 500 chapters is a serious undertaking so I respect the translators for making it happen at all, but that still doesn't make it nice to read.

The official translation from Yen Press will be coming out this July. I know a lot of fans have expressed concerns over stuff like the name order and Dokkaebi being "goblin" in the blurb, but I also don't think its possible to be worse than what we have now. I know I'll at least buy the first volume of the official tl so I can compare them.

The Apothecary Diaries continues to be really good. Accidental hand job moments! You should watch it.
